Van Diest Bros., Inc. has been contracted by DPR Construction to install wet-utilities for a new inpatient rehabilitation facility, UCI Health Rehabilitation Hospital.

This 68,000-square-foot, two-story facility is a joint venture between UCI Health and Lifepoint Rehabilitation. In addition to serving as a standalone hospital with 52 beds, the facility will also feature a brain injury unit, dialysis suite, therapy gyms, outdoor courtyards, and other spaces designed to help patients recover and return to their daily lives.

Our scope of work covers storm-drain, sewer, domestic-water, and fire-water utilities, including precast and curb-opening catch basins, trench drains, modular wetlands treatment vaults, and a 36" underground detention system, along with new sewer mains, cleanouts, and public and private water infrastructure.

A major portion of the project involves water tie-ins running across Morse and Von Karman Avenue. Van Diest Bros., Inc. is working closely with DPR Construction and the Irvine Ranch Water District to complete these connections safely and efficiently.

The tight site footprint makes managing laydown space a day-to-day challenge. Van Diest Bros., Inc. is coordinating closely with DPR and other subcontractors to ensure overall site efficiency is maintained.
